What is your most memorable PDP memory?

It would be during my spring break of 2005. I went to New York City to visit some RPI brothers and ended up having the time of my life there. Even though at first I was close to a few of them initially, by the end of my trip I felt as if I had become tight with these guys. They not only housed me, they fed me, showed me around the city, took me out partying, took me karaoking, and displayed the essence of true brotherhood. It didn’t matter if I was from out of town, or I didn’t know them before. We were bonded through our pledging experiences and now that we were together as brothers, our relationships with each other could strengthen. Thanks for the memories guys, you know who you are. Alpha Psi.

Something you've always wanted to do:

I’ve always wanted to drive across the country with my friends. Load up the car with our stuff, bring some camping gear, and drive straight across the country coast to coast.

Hidden Talents?

Hmmmmm. The ladies call me G.P.S. navigation cuz I always get the right locations….=P Just playin’. Nah seriously, I guess my hidden talent would be having a photographic memory for directions. Once I been to a new place, I can pretty much get back to the same place the next time without directions. Not much of a hidden talent I suppose.

Why I Pledged Pi Delta Psi:

Before I decided to go Pi Delta Psi, I had looked at other social “mainstream” fraternities on campus. I was unhappy with the way they presented greek life. Rush events were drinking, going to Hooters, and even strippers. I was kind of disappointed because I didn’t want to become part of an organization that did these things to promote brotherhood. When I saw PDPsi, I saw that they stood for something and they actually carried it out. They participated in community service, and they were active within the Asian community at GW, helping out with cultural shows and other events. I wanted to become part of a fraternity where I could call the guys my brothers, and also part of an organization that people would come to recognize as an leader in raising Asian awareness.

How did you find out about Pi Delta Psi?

I actually found out about Pi Delta Psi through a maxima car forum my freshman year. I met Chris Ngo aka Zeppelin through maxima.org, and while browsing through comments and stuff, I saw his signature on it as being a brother Pi Delta Psi, the fastest growing Asian-Interest Fraternity. Up to that point, I had no idea Asian greeks even existed. We started talking online about car parts and suddenly he was telling me about Pi Delta Psi. He told me to wait a semester to learn about the fraternity, and by the time spring rolled around our charter/alpha class had crossed. Seeing my chance to become a part of something great, I checked out rush, and the rest is history. Here I am, a brother.

So I heard your birthday party over the summer was pretty crazy...

Well, I was staying at gw for the summer taking classes. My GW brothers decided to throw me a birthday party that would go down as the most memorable party of the summer. They even made a party flyer for it. What happened? Brothers from 8 different chapters rolled down for that one night. Rutgers, Carnegie Mellon, RPI, Cornell, Albany, all of UMCP, even UMass and Florida brothers drove 10+hours just to come celebrate my birthday. It was one the most memorable nights for everyone. Oh yeah, did I mention like 30 Asian sorority sisters came too? We must've packed like 100 people into a dorm suite...The next day all the bros rolled deep to dimsum. It felt so privileged, knowing these brothers set this event up just for me and drove such long distances just to celebrate with me.
